Norton M. Geddie received the Chamber of Commerce's Chairman's Award from Chairman of the Board, Bubba Collins at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Gala on March 31, 2012. Norton has been honored to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors for the past two years and on its Executive Board for the last year. Congratulations 2011-2012 Mock Trial Team...
named Regional Champions on Saturday, November 5th
They will head to state competition on December 9th and 10th.
Attorney Gene Vaught is the lead Attorney coach for the Mock Trial Team.

Geddie elected to North Myrtle Beach Chamber Board
Norton M. Geddie was elected to the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to serve for the 2010 through 2013 term. He has been asked to serve on the Executive Board for the 2011-2012 as chair of the Economic Development Council for the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Geddie again asked to be CLE speaker
Norton M. Geddie has again been asked to speak at a Continuing Education
class for realtors at the Trident Board of Realtors in Charleston, SC on
December 17. The class is entitled “Contracting: The Basics” and it is
an eight (8) hour continuing education class for dealing with contracting
basics and laws effecting real estate contracts.
Geddie asked to speak at CLE
On October 4, 2011, Norton M. Geddie was a continuing legal education
speaker at the Investor’s Title Insurance Seminar for the State of South
Carolina. Mr. Geddie spoke on commercial closings
to a group of several hundred attorneys and legal professionals attending the Seminar.
Coastal Carolina Assoctation of Realtors GRI409 Class
On September 22, 2011, Patrick Wayne Mumford and Norton M. Geddie taught a
graduate realtor class GRI409 on “Closings, Multiple Offers and Universal
Law” for the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors in Myrtle Beach,
SC. This eight (8) hour course is a required class for realtors seeking
the GRI designation.
Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors Affiliate Member Fair
On October 24, 2011, Gregory J. McEvoy and Norton M. Geddie, Kimberly R. Esquilla, Stephanie J. Hirbar and Kristina R. Whalen participated in the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors Affiliate Member Fair at the Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Participants had the opportunity to meet and greet realtors who attended the Affiliate Member Fair and participated in numerous classes ongoing throughout the day.
Elements of a Contract
Gregory J. McEvoy and Norton M. Geddie presented at the Coastal Carolina
Association of Realtors Mini-Conference on April 18, 2011, the topic of the
speech was; “Elements of a Contact.” The Carolina Association of
Realtors sponsored this course for the benefit of its members.
Real Property Closings In The Real World
Patrick Wayne Mumford and Norton M. Geddie on September 19, 2011 were
invited to speak to a Real Property Class at the University of South
Carolina School of Law by Ms. Claire T. Manning, Esq., the professor teaching
that course. The subject was “Real Property Closings In The Real
World”. Mr. Mumford and Mr. Geddie got the opportunity to engage and
discuss with law students the practical aspects of handling real estate
closings.
